Los Angeles, CA (1/11/25) — SabbaticalHomes.com responded to the massive loss of Los Angeles area homes in both the Eaton and Palisades fires with a call for open housing. The international temporary housing website will provide a discount code waiving the annual Listing Fee and Match Fee for people who want to post a home listing to help people affected by the wildfires.
Founder and President Nadege Conger stated, “Our home of Southern California is just the latest location around the world to suffer from the devastation of wildfires and other disasters. We are heartbroken for our local communities, friends and colleagues who have lost their homes and for those with the ongoing uncertainty of evacuations. We are hopeful that our community can step up to help provide temporary housing for some of those affected.”
For those able to help by providing an extra bedroom or two, private space, guest house or possibly an unoccupied home in the greater Los Angeles area, contact the SabbaticalHomes.com customer service team via email with “Los Angeles Fires – Home Listing” in the subject line.
For members who have lost homes, they can post a tenant listing at no charge by contacting the customer service team via email (with “Los Angeles Fires – Tenant Listing” in the subject line). Alternately, people can search the database of home listings in the Los Angeles area for homes that might be a good fit.
While SabbaticalHomes.com realizes not everyone may have space to offer, be in need of temporary housing or even be in the vicinity of Los Angeles, the hope is that we, as a community, can serve as a resource during this trying time.
